I don’t know about you all, but it breaks my tightwad-heart to pay $5-7 for my two-year-old to throw a kids’ meal on the floor or style his (or my) hair with it! My 5 yr old is a different story. He eats the 3 chicken nuggets that $7 bought and then wants mine, too! The ridiculous prices of kids’ meals (and EVEN KIDS’ DRINKS) are the best way to bust your budget when dining out. For that reason, we don’t eat out much at all unless the kids eat free. So, I want to provide a list of local restaurants that have Kids’ Night or where kids can eat free or close to it. If you know of any others to add to this list, please feel free to comment or email me so that I can keep it current. This list will be its own category and will be categorized by day of the week. Here is a starting point, help me add to it, please!
Everyday
Quiznos (all locations)- Kids Eat Free All Day Every Day at Quiznos. Receive one free Kidz Meal w/ the purchase of an Entree (Sub, Toasty Torpedo, Regular Chopped Salad or Choose 2)
Sunday
Hooters – (Bilxoi, Gulfport, Hattiesburg verified) Up to 2 children under age 13 per paid adult may eat from kids’ menu FREE all day on Sunday

Izzo’s Illegal Burritos – verified 3/20/11 – Up to 3 kids under age 10 eat from kids’ menu with paid adult for 99cents. Begins at 4pm.

Firehouse Subs on Highway 21 over there by At&t off of Pinnacle Parkway let’s kids eat free. It’s Tuesday, Wednesday I know for sure after 5. I think they also eat free on Monday and Thursdays but I would double check first.

Chick-Fil-A has a kid’s night every Weds., from 5 t0 8, at least, at the Chick-Fil-A on Hwy. 190 in Covington does. I called them, and the offer is, buy an adult combo meal, and get a kid’s 4-piece meal free. They also provide arts & crafts, a movie, or some other type of activity on Tuesday evenings.
